We’ve been talking about virtual for a long time, but what was once a popular theme for Science Fiction is now a reality. Today, we see more and more traditional career events – job fairs, career fairs and open houses – being moved to the online space.

In this webinar:

  • We examined some of the virtual formats that have been used in the past and are currently being utilized by top companies and media outlets alike
  • We discussed hybrid (physical and virtual) fairs
  • We looked at the future for virtual career fairs
  • We highlighted the different features that can be found at these innovative events

The career fair has always been an ideal opportunity for candidates and employers to meet, exchange ideas, information and to discuss opportunities.

We looked at how these virtual fairs endeavor to embody all of these integral aspects of the traditional career fair while providing an augmented experience – for candidate and employer alike – compliments of modern technology.

Mike Vogel is the Director of Shaker Virtual Events, a division of Shaker Recruitment Advertising and Communications. Mike has a Bachelors degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has over 10 years of recruitment advertising experience, working with a wide range of national accounts on all aspects of recruitment communications, employer branding, creative development and media planning.
